Tapestry
Digital Product & Omnichannel Innovation Intern
June – August 2026 | New York City
During my summer internship at Tapestry, the parent company of Coach and Kate Spade, I worked at the intersection of product management, design, and technology to support improvements to the digital shopping experience.
Working with teams across product, design, and engineering, I helped shape product decisions, improve user experiences, and support the development process to ensure our work aligned with customer needs

Exploring the Coach Shopping Experience
My work focused on the product detail page (PDP) experience, a key part of the online shopping journey where customers explore products, evaluate options, and make purchasing decisions.
I approached this experience from both a product and design perspective, considering how usability, customer needs, and business goals come together to shape digital commerce.

Product Strategy & Research
I conducted competitive research through cat-fooding and dog-fooding and evaluated digital shopping experiences to identify opportunities for improvement.
My research supported product discussions and helped inform considerations around usability, feature development, and future product direction.
I also leveraged AI to optimize existing workflows by developing functional prototypes that accelerated the transition from design to engineering, improved cross-functional collaboration, and streamlined the product development process.
Design & Execution
I supported product development through UX prototyping, product documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Working alongside Product, UX Design, and Engineering teams, I helped translate product concepts into actionable requirements, clarify priorities, and support alignment throughout the development process.
Final Showcase
My internship culminated in a final showcase where I presented an independently developed project focused on improving the Coach Product Detail Page (PDP) experience to Tapestry's senior leadership.
Drawing on the research, UX design, and product development skills I gained throughout my internship, I identified opportunities for improvement and proposed solutions to enhance the customer experience.
This project allowed me to apply my learnings to a real-world challenge while strengthening my ability to communicate complex product ideas and their potential impact through a clear, compelling narrative.
Key Takeaways
My experience at Tapestry strengthened both my technical and interpersonal skills, teaching me how to effectively communicate and collaborate with people across different teams and backgrounds.
I learned how to navigate disagreements, balance different perspectives, and recognize when to advocate firmly for my ideas while remaining open to feedback.
Most importantly, this experience taught me how to bring together user needs, business goals, and design principles to make thoughtful product decisions. It reinforced my interest in creating digital experiences that are not only user-centered and visually engaging, but also strategically aligned with business objectives.
